Study Tour 1 - Barro Colorado, the site of continuous forest ecology research since 1915, and is widely considered to be home to the most thoroughly studied tropical forests in the world; Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute - Photo of the Week

Study Tour 2 - Canopy Crane, journey to the top of a Panamanian forest using a construction crane modified for research purposes;

Study Tour 3 - Gamboa and Pipeline Road, a village that houses important experimental studies on the carbon exchange between tropical plants and the atmosphere, and one of the premier birding locations in the Neotropics;

Study Tour 4 - Miraflores Locks to learn first hand about the various operations of the Panama Canal, the history of its construction, its participation in the world markets, and the importance of its watershed; and
